Welcome to this week's edition of UFO sightings. Here are some of the best of the best.
Arkansas1021Some friends were camping out at Pettit Jean State Park. While sitting around the camp fire, one of the individuals was doing some sky watching. He caught a glimpse of two unusual objects slowly moving by. He stood up and took a walk to an area without trees blocking his view. The objects soon became larger and brighter, and sped up slightly. He called this to the attention of his wife, telling her that the flying objects had no running lights on them like the many planes they had seen fly over earlier. The objects eventually changed their direction, sped up, and flickered out of sight. He was convinced they were UFOs. source: www.mufon.com
Maine1993Here is an old sighting, but a very interesting one. This just came to my attention this week. While on her way to work one evening at about 8:30 PM, our witness was driving through Gray, Maine on the way to Portland, Oregon. She approached a marshy, foggy area in the road, and suddenly she saw at first what appeared to be a baseball cross the road right in her headlights. It was so close that she thought it might have hit her car. There was no sound of any kind associated with the near miss. After doing some research on UFOs, she discovered her encounter exactly matched the socalled "orbs" that often appear in photographs today. source: http://ufos.about.com
Texas1022After watching a movie at a friend's house, our witness was driving home on Highway 281. He soon saw a brightly lit object in the sky at about 10:30 PM. There was a storm brewing in the area, and the object was only seen here and there. Finally, he recaptured the object in his eyesight. It was now larger and brighter. Looking closer at the object, he was able to determine that the object could not be a plane of any kind. It was shaped differently and had no running lights at all. Suddenly, to his disbelief, the object flew across his field of view on the highway in a "wavy," surreal way. It then sped off, stopped, and dropped like a leaf. He was amazed at the object, and desperately tried to keep an eye on it with the traffic coming and going. Finally, he lost sight of it altogether. source: www.mufon.com
Canada1024Our witness describes his sighting in his own words: At about 3:55 AM, I was having a look out the windows around my house as I usually do when I awaken in the middle of the night and as I was looking west over my driveway I saw a flashing light in the sky below the full moon heading east. As it did, I went to my front window and continued to watch the light continue under the cloud cover. At first I thought it might be a plane or helicopter, but there was no noise like a helicopter and it appeared to be moving too slow for a plane.
These lights were not like the strobes on the bottom of an airplane or helicopter which usually display a red or blue light between the actual flashing of the strobe, and small lights at the tips of the wings and it is unusual for planes and helicopters to be flying at this time of night in the Hinton area. I could not see any form to the object other than the lights looked like an eggshaped object. The flashing was constant but was still lit up between the actual bright flashes. The color of the light was white. The object moved under what clouds there were over toward the east of Hinton. source: canadianuforeport@hotmail.com
Canada1024Pine Creek, Manitoba8:30 pmWe just received a report of an unusual object seen last night in the Pine Creek or Minitonas area in Manitoba. Witnesses observed a "bright, lemonyellow object the size of a house, with a green tail one mile long." It was seen by both a pilot in an aircraft and a person on the ground. It was streaking downward at a high rate of speed, and when it hit the ground, a witness reported seeing an explosion, and an orange glow remained in the trees. It was said to have fallen "in the southwest." source: canadianuforeport@hotmail.com
